After uploading the rough cut we found that the overall editing was good the only weaknesses we could see were the music that we do not have at the moment and the fact that there were very few titles. Apart from this we thought the editing went very well.

Do you think the music suits the genre?
The music chosen for the animatic was based on a contrast in moods, it will be changed for the final piece in order for it to fit, also the first piece was the first attempt at music and the music in the final piece will probably vary.

How to you plan to shoot the action sequence of the murder?
There are several ways we could shoot this using different angles, swinging the spade past the camera or freezing or fading before the victim is hit over the head.

House one is proberbly the most run down and hardest to film in however has a pretty good, creepy atmosphere. House two though is a lot less run down, we can always film in both and decide which bits to use in editing.

The name of this piece is blackout.
i found this piece a very good example of a thriller opening. this was proved throughout with the use of great shots such as the tap shot right the way to the end with the tired person scene.
all of the lightning was great and went with the title amazing i.e blackout.
the only problem i found with the title sequence was that the black background shots with just writing was just too long.
overal i would give this project 47

Initial ideas

The initial ideas for our opening scene revolve round the openeing panic room and how this is film with the use of writing merging with the buildings and paning shots.

the story board so far is.
shot1: person 1 walking down woodland path toward derelict mansion
shot2: paning long shot of mansion
shot3: shot of person walking again but this time from the view of the bad guy.
shot4: close up of mansion with guy looking round. maybe with bad guy scene somewhere that only audience can see.
shot5: fast clip shot of badguy knocking out person1
shot6: paning shot upwards of badguy with shovel cutting at the head.
fading into title.
